Considering

I'm working on a sermon exploring the concept of Sabbath. Do you think I could get away with using the "When Harry Met Sally" days-of-the-week underwear conversation as an illustration of a twisted view of Sabbath-keeping???

As long as it leaves out the part at the deli where Sally....er, um, you know.

Yes. I think it will make sense to LOTS to people.

I love that scene. Sally says what she does with such conviction--as if everybody connects underwear and Jesus.

A couple of weeks ago when the Scripture passage was where Jesus referred to the Syrophoenician woman as a "dog", I used the scene from the wedding reception - after they've slept together - and Harry says, "you know how a year is like seven to a dog?" and Sally becomes incensed and says, "who is supposed to be the dog in this story? Am I supposed to be the dog? I'm the dog?!"

So, yeah, I'd say, go for it! And not just because I want someone else to use an illustration from that movie ;)
