You know you live in California when your daughter's first grade class is having a Thanksgiving Feast the centerpiece of which is Nachos topped with ground turkey. You receive a note from the Class Parent requesting that you contribute two jars of salsa,(mild).
What's next? Cranberry-Avocado sauce???
Update: Sure enough, someone already thought of that. But in Texas.

Well since I lived there for eight years I guess it won't come as any surprise that cranberry-avocado sauce actually sounds good to me.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, PCIT.
Kinda sounds good to me, too!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Oooh, cranberyy avodcado... I could do something with that!
From a de-lurking California wannabe :)
I confess I was actually thinking that sounded yummy too....
that would be Organic cranberry/avocado by the way...
From an Oregonian in exile
Anitra,
Organic only in Northern California, I think . . .
Toto, I don't think we are in Kansas anymore!
BUt then there is no stuffing!!!!
THe ONLY reason I put up with turkey is to have an excuse for stuffing.
Our "Gee, we really do live in California" moment was when our daughter, (aged nine at the time) asked if it was possible to "feng shui a pepperoni" pizza!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving!
And instead of celery stuffed with cheese, its jalepenos stuffed with cheese
Happy Thanksgiving
Too funny! Hope you had a great day!
I guess the nachos count as the corn - which would be our cornbread dressing in GA.
