My Oregon-born son has become a Californian. Tonight I announced that dinner would be left-over lasagne from last night. He shook his head and sighed. "Mom--I did like that lasagne you made, but I just don't feel comfortable having it two nights in a row."
What do they put in the kool-aide around here, anyway????

Must be related to my husband--must have been those 3 years in Berkeley that did it to him. . .
I knew I was in over my head when my daughter, then age 9, asked if it was possible to 'feng shui' a pepperoni pizza.
We still get a big laugh out of that, and she's 15.5 now!
But the 'californication' of my son has lasted through the 2,000 mile move back.
he'd starve here in our house then :)
Welcome back! This is so great. I hope you thanked him for sharing his feelings, and affirmed the value of dialogue where leftovers are concerned... :)
What are the signs of "Californication"?
