another step

Hi folks. I just added word verification to my blogger comment settings. Supposedly this will discourage those who believe that readers of this blog depend upon it for referals to used car vendors, stock brokerage firms, cheap pharmacueticals, etc. Hope it's not too irksome.

Seems a sensible plan to me....could you explain in words of half a syllable, for a bear of little brain, how to do it. I keep getting similar spam on mine, after months of blissful obscurity :-(

Kathryn, sign into Blogger, then go to Settings, then Comments. One of the options is:
Show word verification for comments?
Change that to "yes."
Or get Haloscan! I never get any comment spam at all.
